Fake Shamans

Fake Shamans are a Toronto and Manchester-based electronic music duo crafting immersive journeys through deep house infused with Eastern, Oriental, and mystical influences. Their sound blends hypnotic grooves, organic percussion, ethnic instrumentation, and ancient vocal textures, creating a unique balance between the dancefloor and introspection. The story goes that the Fake Shamans were exiled from the tribe they once deceived, disappearing into the wilderness until only legends remained. Their music carries echoes of those forgotten rituals—earthy, spiritual, cinematic, and touched by darkness. With releases on respected labels including Akbal Music, Lump Records, Wildfang Music, Pink Turban and their own imprint Fake Rituals, Fake Shamans continue to explore the space where ancient traditions meet modern electronic music, delivering deeply atmospheric and emotionally resonant experiences for listeners around the world.
